She spoke with Ryan Tubridy about her decision to tweet excerpts from her diary on a daily basis, and the reaction it has received.
All of what you’d expect from a teenagers journal feature, from her love of music to the hairstyles of the time and, of course, the usual angst-filled adolescent dreams. In tandem it provides an insight in to the most turbulent of political and social eras in Northern Ireland..
Bronagh read a number of her tweets while speaking with Ryan with one highlighting the view the young teenager had when confronted with the serious nature of the situation when she lived.
“The Police are on my tape now. Just finished Do doo doo do dada da which is a silly long title I think… and at the very end it says…start of hunger strike.”
It’s a fascinating chat with Ryan. Listen back to the full thing by clicking here.
