EastEnders spin-off Redwater finally debuted on Sunday night on RTÉ One.
The six-part series, which was filmed in Dunmore East, Co Waterford and Co Wicklow over five months last year tells the story of what happens when Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie Moon (Shane Ritchie) travel to Ireland in search of Kat’s long-lost son.
Irish actor Oisin Stack, who played the priest of Redwater, joined Ryan Tubridy this morning to talk about getting into character for the show, his Irish-French upbringing, and his career working with the everyone from Fionnuala Flanagan to Robert Di Niro.
Filming for Redwater was one of his favourite acting gigs so far, he said.
“The writing is excellent, the directing is excellent…we were like kids in a candy shop really”
